Design of file and shallow foundations; calculations in geotechnical engineering; supervision at the job site relating the construction of foundation engineering.

Determination of phylogenetic relationships and genome organization in plants using molecular and cytogenetic techniques.
The investigations will be focused on repetitive sequence evolution (satDNA and dispersed DNA), their location on chromosomes using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and microscopy.

Within the training is planned excursion in many parts of the country. The student will participate in the grape harvesting and controlling of the Vinification process.

Help in laboratory works (production and testing of samples made of asphalt and concrete; research of basic physical and mechenical properties of bitumes and asphalts). Help in field measurements of traffic noise.

Purification and spectroscopic and biochemical characterization of metalloproteins.
Biochemical (liquid chromatography, namely ionic exchange, gel filtration or affinity, PAGE and SDS-PAGE, metal content and protein determinations), kinetic and spectroscopic (UV/visible, EPR and M�ssbauer) techniques will be applied. The laboratory is equipped with all the instruments needed for the proposed work

Supervising maintainance of pump stations and drainage channels.

Project and design works on landscape and accomplishment of project´s territory. The work plan of the practical training will be sent upon nomination´s documents to be received.

Practical training in Bioengineering and tissue Engineering, including cellular assays, mechanical testing and device design.Training will culminate in a summer research symposium presentation.
